Chapter 15C-1, F.A.C., (Motor Vehicle Licenses)

Chapter 15C-1 of the Florida Administrative Code establishes general rules under the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’s Division 15C for motor vehicle licensing, temporary tags, definitions, dealer residence requirements, and other licensing-related procedures. It includes sections addressing temporary tags (definitions and use) in Rule 15C-1.003, rules on distribution and record‐keeping of temporary tags in Rule 15C-1.004, the transport of new trailers without title plates in Rule 15C-1.006, and motor vehicle dealer residence standards in Rule 15C-1.007.It also provides foundational definitions for later rules (see Rule 15C-1.0101) and is the “General” chapter within Division 15C which encompasses all motor vehicle regulatory rules under the Department.
