The GITS Door, Window, and Garage Door Contractor – DCE1CH license, administered under Florida county contractor regulations and prepared through 1 Exam Prep, qualifies individuals to install, maintain, and repair door, window, and garage door systems in compliance with local building codes. This trade exam is authorized by GITS (Gainesville Independent Testing Service) and aligns with Florida county-level licensing standards for specialty contractors. The course materials and exam prep provided by 1 Exam Prep include reference books covering the Florida Building Code, safety requirements, and trade-specific installation standards. Candidates pursuing this credential must meet county contractor license prerequisites, demonstrate trade competency through GITS testing, and adhere to the scope outlined for door, window, and garage door installation professionals throughout Florida counties.

This license will no longer be issued after June 30, 2024 per Florida House Bill HB735 and HB1383. (Possible Glazing Contractor or Specialty Structure Contractor)
