Florida Solar Contractor License Requirements

To become a Florida Certified Solar Contractor, you must:
✔ Pass the Trade Exam and Business & Finance Exam
✔ Demonstrate Financial Stability
✔ Provide Proof of Experience (Four years of experience or a combination of college and experience; military experience may also be considered)

A Solar Contractor is licensed to install, alter, repair, maintain, relocate, or replace solar panels for:
✔ Potable solar water heating systems
✔ Swimming pool solar heating systems
✔ Photovoltaic systems

This includes all related equipment, regardless of whether it is for public, private, or commercial use. Certified contractors do not need an additional solar license to perform work that falls within their permitted scope.
