Next Level Contractor Academy 12 Weeks to Build Your Contracting Business

Build the Roadmap Behind a real Contracting Company.

The Next Level Contractor Academy is a 12-week contractor business-building program designed to help aspiring and growing contractors turn an idea, trade skill, or future license into a practical plan for building a real company.

Over 12 focused weeks, you will define your licensing path, brand, profitable services, financial targets, marketing strategy, sales process, reputation plan, operations, technology, and hiring strategy.

By the end of the program, you will have built your contracting business on paper and leave with a clear, executable roadmap for turning that plan into a functioning company.

The program connects the major pieces of contractor business ownership into one practical plan, including licensing, branding, finances, marketing, sales, operations, technology, leadership, and growth.

What You Will Build Over 12 Weeks

90 minutes each Thursday evening.  All Classes are recorded as well and the schedule restarts, so if you miss a few weeks catch up when it comes around.

Week 1: Start Where You Are

Define where you are today and where you want your contracting career to go.

You will identify the license, experience, qualifications, and timeline between your current position and your long-term goal. By the end of the week, you will have a clear three-year vision and know the first step you need to take.

Week 2: Build a Brand People Trust

Start creating a professional contractor identity before the first customer ever calls.

Define why someone should hire your company instead of the contractor down the street and begin developing your company name, brand promise, messaging, colors, domain, professional email, and overall image.

Week 3: Find the Work That Makes You Money

Determine which services your future company should pursue and which jobs you should avoid.

Identify your ideal customer, target service area, profitable service mix, potential red flags, and the types of work your contractor license will legally allow you to perform.

Week 4: Know Your Numbers

Learn why being busy does not necessarily mean being profitable.

Understand markup, margin, overhead, owner compensation, profit, cash flow, and financial targets in practical contractor language.

You will also calculate how much your company needs to sell each month before the business actually begins making money.

Week 5: Build a Marketing Plan That Brings in Work

Create a realistic plan for finding your first customers.

Identify where your first 25 customers may come from, establish a marketing budget, and build an executable 90-day marketing strategy.

You will also learn how to track which marketing channels generate calls, leads, and customers so you can stop spending money on strategies that do not work.

Week 6: Get Found Before Your Competition Does

Learn how customers actually find contractors online.

Understand the role of Google Business Profile, Google Maps, organic search, Google Ads, and Local Services Ads.

Begin building your online presence while also developing a referral network and your first ten legitimate business contacts.

Week 7: Turn the Phone Call Into a Customer

Learn how to move a prospect from the first phone call to a signed job.

Develop a repeatable sales process that helps you qualify customers before spending hours estimating the wrong projects.

Learn how to present pricing, respond to objections, communicate value, and confidently ask for the job without immediately discounting your price.

Week 8: Build a Reputation That Sells for You

Turn completed work into reviews, referrals, testimonials, repeat customers, and future opportunities.

Learn how to professionally ask customers for reviews, build your reputation over time, and respond appropriately when a customer is unhappy or leaves a negative review.

Week 9: Run the Job Without Letting the Job Run You

Build a simple operating process that takes a project from signed agreement through final payment.

Learn how scope, milestones, documentation, written change orders, punch lists, and project closeout can protect your profit and prevent scope creep.

Week 10: Use Technology and AI Like a Bigger Contractor

Build a lean technology stack that allows a smaller contracting company to operate more efficiently.

Explore tools for estimating, scheduling, invoicing, bookkeeping, documentation, communication, and organization.

You will also learn practical ways to use AI for writing, planning, customer communication, organization, and business operations while understanding where AI cannot be trusted and what information should remain private.

Week 11: Build a Crew Worth Leading

Prepare for the point when the business becomes bigger than one person.

Determine who your first hire should be, when the company can financially support that hire, and what standards every member of your team will be expected to follow.

Learn how leadership, accountability, expectations, and company culture can help attract and retain the right employees.

Week 12: Turn the Plan Into the Company

Bring everything from the previous 11 weeks together into your completed Contractor Business Plan.

You will leave with measurable priorities covering licensing, finances, marketing, sales, operations, technology, hiring, and growth.

You will also establish your most important priorities for the next 90 days and build a 12-month roadmap for moving the company forward.

Successful participants can earn a $300 tuition credit upon completion of program requirements.*

What You Leave With

You finish the Next Level Contractor Academy knowing exactly what to do next.

Instead of leaving with disconnected business ideas, you will have a structured contractor business plan and measurable priorities for building the company over the next year.

Build the Business Behind the License

Getting licensed is only one part of becoming a successful contractor.

The Next Level Contractor Academy helps you think beyond the exam and build the business structure needed to turn your license, experience, and skills into a real contracting company.

Over 12 weeks, you will move from “I want to start a contracting business” to having a documented plan showing what to build, what to prioritize, and what to do next.
