Check these three things first

A book has to clear all three to qualify for a quote.

You bought them from us

The buyback is for pre-highlighted and tabbed books purchased from 1 Exam Prep. You'll need your original invoice.

They're a current edition

Books have to be recognized as a current exam edition. Older editions can't be bought back, even in perfect shape.

They're clean inside

No writing, no damage. Our highlighting and tabs are expected. Yours aren't.

Five steps

From your shelf to a check in the mail

Send your invoice and photos

Email a copy of your original invoice to bookbuyback@1examprep.com, and attach a photo of each book with the cover visible.

Get your quote by email

We'll reply with the books that qualify and what we'll pay for them. The quote can change after we inspect the books in person.

Ship the books

Pack them up with a copy of your original invoice and your quote, and send them to our Sunrise office.

We inspect them

Books that arrive damaged or written in are not accepted. Rejected books come off the quote and are not shipped back to you.

We confirm and mail your check

A rep emails you the final amount and asks where to send the check. Allow 3 to 5 weeks from the day your books reach us.

Where to ship

Wait for your quote before sending anything. When you ship, put a copy of your original invoice and your quote in the box.

Books that are damaged or written in are rejected. Rejected books are deducted from your quote and are not returned, so double-check every book before it goes in the box.

Questions we get a lot

How much will I get?

Between 20% and 50% of what you paid on your original invoice. Where you land in that range depends on the condition of the books and whether they're a current edition.

How long does the check take?

Allow 3 to 5 weeks from the date we receive your books. We'll email you to confirm the final amount and ask for the mailing address first.

Can the quote change after I ship?

Yes. The emailed quote is based on your photos, and it's subject to change once we have the books in hand and can inspect them.

What happens to a book you reject?

It's deducted from your quote and it isn't returned to you. If you're unsure about a book's condition, say so in your first email before you ship.

Do I have to include paperwork in the box?

Yes. Put a copy of your original invoice and a copy of our quote in the box with the books so we can match the shipment to your file.
