It is a conditional money-back guarantee on eligible contractor exam prep courses. If you complete all required preparation and do not pass your first official exam attempt, you can choose a refund of what you paid for the course or six more months of access plus one complimentary exam-review session. It is not a promise that every student will pass.
Buy a course that displays the Pass Guarantee, complete 100% of the required lessons, score at least 80% on all required quizzes, score at least 80% on three full-length practice exams or exam simulations, use the current approved reference materials, and take the official exam tied to your course within 12 months of purchase. All of this must be done before your official exam.
No, unless your specific course states otherwise. You can buy, rent, borrow, or otherwise lawfully obtain the approved reference materials from another source. You are responsible for using the correct editions required for your scheduled exam.
For the Pass Guarantee, you must take the official exam associated with your course within 12 months of the original purchase date.
It can. The guarantee applies to NASCLA, general contractor, and other trade courses only when the specific course is identified as eligible for the Pass Guarantee. Eligibility varies by state, license classification, and exam.
Submit your official score report within 30 calendar days of the exam date. Once your eligibility is verified, you choose either a refund of the eligible course payment or six additional months of course access plus one complimentary exam-review session.
The refund is the amount you actually paid for the eligible online exam prep course. If you used a coupon, discount, or credit, the refund is limited to what you paid. If the course was part of a bundle or package, only the value assigned to the eligible course portion qualifies.
Books and reference materials, book rentals and deposits, tabs, highlighting services, shipping, exam and testing fees, licensing and government fees, application and licensing services, separately purchased tutoring or live instruction, and continuing education are not refunded under the Pass Guarantee.
You have 30 calendar days from the date of your unsuccessful official exam attempt. Include your name, account email, order number, course name, exam name, exam date, and your official score report.
Yes. After an approved claim you can choose six additional months of access to your eligible course plus one complimentary exam-review session instead of the refund. You can select only one option per eligible course purchase.

The 1 Exam Prep Pass or Get Your Money Back Guarantee is a conditional refund program available only for courses specifically identified as eligible at the time of purchase. To qualify, the student must be the original purchaser and enrolled user, complete 100% of all required course lessons before taking the applicable official examination, earn at least 80% on all required quizzes, complete at least three qualifying full-length practice examinations or test simulations through the eligible course with a score of at least 80% on each qualifying attempt, use the current approved or required reference materials applicable to the examination, and take the official licensing examination associated with the eligible course within 12 months of the original purchase date. All qualifying preparation requirements must be completed before the student's official examination attempt.
If the student does not pass the first eligible official examination attempt after satisfying these requirements, the student must submit a Pass Guarantee claim within 30 calendar days of the examination date and provide an official score report containing sufficient information to verify the student's identity, examination, examination date, and result or score, together with the student's order information and any additional information reasonably required by 1 Exam Prep to verify eligibility. Following verification and approval, the student may choose either a refund of the amount actually paid for the eligible online exam-prep course or an additional six months of access to the eligible course plus one complimentary exam-review session. Only one remedy may be selected for each eligible course purchase unless otherwise expressly authorized by 1 Exam Prep.
Refunds apply only to the eligible exam-prep course portion of the purchase and exclude books, reference materials, book rentals, deposits, tabs, highlighting services, shipping, handling, examination fees, testing fees, licensing fees, government fees, application fees, application or licensing services, tutoring, separately purchased live instruction, continuing education, administrative services, and other excluded products or services. If an eligible course was purchased as part of a bundle or package, the maximum refund is limited to the amount or value assigned to the eligible course portion of that package. Discounts, promotional codes, credits, and other price reductions reduce the maximum eligible refund to the amount actually paid. Reference materials may be purchased or rented from 1 Exam Prep or lawfully obtained from another source unless a specific course expressly states otherwise, but the student remains responsible for using the current approved materials and editions required for the scheduled official examination.
The guarantee applies only to the examination, license classification, trade, and jurisdiction associated with the eligible course purchased. 1 Exam Prep may review course completion, quiz scores, practice examination results, completion dates, account activity, purchase records, official examination documentation, and other reasonably relevant information to determine eligibility. Completing preparation requirements after an unsuccessful official exam attempt does not qualify that earlier attempt. The guarantee is nontransferable. Account sharing, transfer, resale, manipulation of course records, fraudulent documentation, altered examination results, material misrepresentation, or material violation of 1 Exam Prep's Terms of Use may void eligibility. The guarantee does not apply where required preparation was not completed before testing, required scores were not achieved, the examination was taken outside the required period, the claim was submitted after the deadline, the student took an examination different from the covered examination, incorrect or outdated references were used after current requirements were communicated or reasonably available, official documentation cannot reasonably be verified, or the student otherwise fails to satisfy these terms.
The Pass Guarantee applies only to examination preparation and does not guarantee approval to sit for an examination, satisfaction of licensing-board experience, financial, background, insurance, bonding, application, business, or other requirements, or issuance of a contractor or professional license. Licensing boards and examination providers may change examination content, reference materials, codes, book editions, passing scores, qualification requirements, schedules, or testing procedures. Students are responsible for complying with requirements applicable on their examination date. Examination registration and scheduling remain the student's responsibility. Cancellations, missed appointments, testing-center availability, licensing-board processing delays, authorization issues, and other third-party circumstances do not independently create Pass Guarantee eligibility.
The Pass Guarantee is separate from 1 Exam Prep's standard refund and return policies and applies only where permitted by applicable law, regulation, licensing requirements, and examination-provider rules. Certain courses, jurisdictions, examinations, pre-license programs, continuing education products, and third-party products may be excluded. 1 Exam Prep may modify or discontinue the Pass Guarantee for future purchases, but eligible purchases will remain governed by the version in effect on the original purchase date. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method when reasonably possible and will never exceed the amount actually paid for the eligible course portion of the purchase. The Pass Guarantee is not a promise or representation that every student will pass an examination.
